John comes from Belgium where he studied for an MA in Videography and Cinematography. To build on these skills, he had come to London to study a Business & Production MA at Met Film School.
In Belgium, he had the opportunity to work with some inspiring crews on several short films, some of which have been recognised in festivals in 7 different countries, even winning the Arte Short Film Award in Munich (2015).
As the son of a photographer, John grew up around studios and piles of photography books, it was here that he started his education with his father’s favourite game “look at the eyes, and guess the lighting“.
His love of challenge and natural curiosity has brought him to explore videography through sport, whether it’s underwater shooting with diving and free-diving, or using Glidecam on skis.
The same curiosity has led him to work on still photography (Leo Burnett), art projects, aerial images (Antoine Rose), and other diverse areas of video such as fashion promos (Pauline B., Maison Bernard Depoorter), events, making-ofs and editing.
Today, John opened his company ‘’Navajo Studio’’ for visual content creation and web design. Some of his last works include a video for 5 Continents Editions in Milan or the communication of the project Los Almendros de Ibiza including videos, pictures and websites.
